It's easy for me to say, but if the average small business owner knew what I now know they would
probably not appoint a web designer at all. If you are not prepared to pay good money for research and
ongoing development, you will almost certainly be wasting your money.

With the software that is available today building a website is a very simple task, even if you have no
coding skills and know nothing about building a website. You can build a website in no time and more
importantly you can develop it into what a website should be (AN ASSET TO YOUR BUSINESS).
By carrying out some simple tasks taking only an hour or two a week you can quickly develop a business
lead generating machine that works 24/7.

Of course if you need a complex website with a vast range of products for sale, databases and tracking
etc. you will need to hire a professional. For most of us this is not the case and a simple, but well
optimised webiste will be sufficient. Even if you do need something special you should still carry out
some simple research and have extensive talks with your designer to be sure of success.
